Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate the inbound receiving and tracking of products in need of inspection or repair
- Communicate the status and cost of repairs to sales reps and/or customers via phone and email
- Inspect defective products to diagnose the causes of failure and determine cost of repairs
- Enter and maintain the accurate status and testing logs of each repair into the database
- Testing of company owned trial and demo equipment
- Travel to warehouse, as needed, to lead and assist the testing teams
Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to establish and maintain good communication with sales and customers
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Analytical skill to identify the underlying causes of product failure
- Integrity – job requires appropriate handling of confidential, sensitive information
- Dependability - meeting deadlines, completing duties or projects on time
- Ability to lift 30 - 70 lbs. of equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Repair skills including soldering and use of testing equipment such as a digital voltmeter
- Ability to read schematics
- 2-year technical degree and/or previous instrument repair or quality control experience
