JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis on multiple levels and contribute to company-wide activities regarding finance and accounting.  The wide variety of duties will range from month-end close reporting, annual budgeting. year-end taxation reporting, and compliance.  This role will have a huge impact on decisions that drive company goals and will be a great opportunity to be involved in multiple projects with all levels of executive and senior management.

DUTIES

 

  1. Proficient review of financial data, ledgers and accounts on macro and micro level to produce financials ie Cash Management, Fixed Asset reporting monthly and for year end tax return, Financial Statements,  Reporting Packages, Lender Compliance and Reserve Replacement, Quarterly NOI Bonus determination, Tax Projections for Ownership

 

  1. Design and maintain reporting tools alongside consultant/programmer. Support automated internal financial reporting. Create business trend analyses by use of visual representations such as charts, tables, and graphs.

 

  1. Serve as Budget Project lead for the company. Plan the project calendar.  Provide tools, educate users, implement project, review all data for accuracy. Troubleshoot budget module for data anomalies and formula errors.  Coordinate final approvals.

 

  1. Responsible for government filings for City, County, State and Federal agencies ie US Census, Local and Municipal Business License, Rent Control Registrations, Unsecured Property Tax.

 

  1. Perform Analyses and Workouts, Cash Projections, Forecasts, Budgets and all Historical Analyses.  Design and assist with Pro Formas for Acquisition and Disposition.

 

 

  1. Knowledge of Job Costing, job list creation, software management and subledger recording in Yardi Voyager.  Reconcile and report on all construction-related activities.

 

  1. Design, maintain, disseminate information and train on Accounting chart of accounts, custom account trees and reporting using account mapping

 

  1. Abstract Insurance Policies, Loan Documents, Management Agreements, Contracts and other legal documents as needed for ad hoc exercises and due diligence

 

  1. Manage and support ad-hoc reporting needs as requested by Ownership, President, Controller and Manager of Financial Reporting

 

  1. Foster permanent improvement of financial reporting by performing ongoing analysis of processes.  Recommended solutions for improving business process

 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related.  Advanced accounting principles, cash vs accrual, GAAP, full cycle, financial statement prep, depreciation taxation and audit.  Proven advanced Excel skills, proficiency in Yardi.  Command of written and verbal language to communicate with executives.  Due diligence, investigative and critical thinking skills.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING:

Masters degree in related field or CPA.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position primarily performs sedentary office work and predominantly requires use of a computer and telephone.  Occasionally required to lift 20 pounds or less.
