Education / Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in chemistry but a Master’s degree of Science in
Chemistry/Biological Sciences/Biochemistry/Polymer Science/Cosmetic Science or
other related science courses from accredited university or college is preferable. Must
be willing to learn Scientific Research method and analysis and chemistry of hair, skin,
and emulsion technology.
Job Description:
1.With minimum supervision, plan and initiate assigned projects relating to product
development in hair/skin care areas.
2.Work in cooperation with test salon personnel to evaluate new and improved
products.
3.Writing of reports, status and progress of project assigned.
4.Continuously enhance his/her abilities and knowledge in the above fields through
studying literature such as books, publications, attending seminars, and
electronic databases.
5.Evaluate competitive products.
6.Conduct instrumental product performance testing using the Rheometer, Particle
Size Analyzer, Polarized/Visible light Microscope, and other related equipment.
This includes the calibration and balancing of the instrument.
7.Perform computer work such as data entry and transformation using the Excel
spreadsheets.
8.Maintain current technical awareness in hair/skin care technology particularly
those that are involved with Fiber Physics and skin Bio-engineering and image
analysis techniques.
9.Maintain cleanliness in their respective work areas and observe proper work
safety habits at all times.
10.Handles other related duties as assigned and assists other R&D personnel as
needed.
11.Must get involved in the process development of newly formulated product
through our PDR process.
