Job title: Regional Revenue Manager

Reports to: Corporate Director of Revenue Management

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in dynamic markets and be able to advise and implement strategies that will optimize the best mix of business for each hotel resulting in optimal revenue results. In addition to the daily focus on pricing and inventory management, the Regional Revenue Manager will need to bring ideas to the table that will help position the hotels as market leaders. Our revenue managers work closely with the property General Managers and Sales teams to ensure decisions are made to book the best pieces of business for the hotel to maximize revenue. The ability to analyze strategies to determine success or failure and adjust accordingly is important in this role as is timely communication and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with strong analytical skills who can build solid relationships and communicate effectively with both internal associates as well as owners will be best suited for this position. This position requires skill and expertise in the following systems: OnQ R&I, OnQ RM, OnQ FM, GRO, MARSHA, HPP, OYv2

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of a variety of markets and brands preferred
  • Understanding key components that drive a hotels occupancy, both market events and segmentation for the market/hotel
  • Understanding the systems that drive pricing for both Hilton (GRO) and Marriott (OYv2) and knowing how to maximize output and address concerns.
  • Understanding of basic economic principles - supply and demand, price elasticity
  • Prepares for and conducts weekly strategy meetings via GoToMeeting and in-person meeting once per month if in the market with the goal of ensuring strategies are moving the hotel towards their goals
  • Expertise in analyzing STR reports and understanding competitive set guidelines
  • Knowledge of tools - Demand 360, OTA Insight and how to use them to support and guide strategies
  • Ability to manage time around specific projects while maintaining daily/weekly repetitive tasks
  • Have excellent communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with team members and owners
  • Self-directed, motivated with great attention to detail and follow through
  • Is a quick learner of new systems and procedures and can teach others how to use new revenue management tools
  • Works well under timelines and makes well-informed pricing decisions
  • Has strong analytical and problem solving skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years (minimum) of Revenue Management, managing multiple properties required
  • 3+ years of Hilton/Marriott revenue management experience preferred
  • BA or BS in Hospitality, Business Management, Finance or Economics preferred
